Blog Space | Home Decor

Ellen / October 13, 2014

This week I’ve got a lot of blog space inspiration, both brummy mummy of 2 and super busy mum showed off their lovely new blogging areas and it got me thinking about a possible space dedicated to my blog, more so a space that’s just mine.

With plans of going back to college in September this could become a blogging/ study space but that means it needs to be twice as pretty right?

Here are a few ideas I would like to incorporate if I got the chance.

Here’s some things I fell in love with on pinterest:

The chalk planner would be ideal for planning posts and link ups, imagine all the different coloured chalks! The to-do photo frame would be great for crossing of a daily tasks I set myself, and you can put whatever photo or background in it.

Imagine all the stationary you could hold in these! With two full drawers of pens waiting to find their place I definitely need something like this.

I think chevron print is lovely. A chevron pinboard instead of the blackboard might suit better when I decide on a theme.

Onto what I found on the Next website:

Sorry the pictures are so small if I make them bigger they distort. The first is a sign that says ”always remember you are loved”, a wooden ‘Home’ sign and a letter organiser. I would like a few quotes to hang around and an organiser for anything not on stored on my computer and random pieces of paper I always find myself hoarding.

I would also add fairy lights and a really nice scented candle. In my head it sounds perfect now just to get it into reality.

Where do you find inspiration for home decor?

Until next time,

  1. We’re moving very soon so Ive been looking for home decor inspiration too, I’ve been pinning lots of Pinterest and also using an app called Houzz. I’ll be starting working from home so need a work space similar to this, that I can blog from also.

  2. Ooh I love these ideas – especially the chalk board and the ‘to do’ photo frame. Our study is currently a junk room but we keep intended to clear it out and move the computer in at some point in the not-too-distant future – might have to remember some of these ideas for when we get around to doing it 🙂

  3. Wow – there are some lovely ideas there! Hope you can make your dream writing a space a reality. Looking forward to seeing some pics when it’s done! PS might have a go at that chalk board chart myself! #goldenoldies

  4. I absolutely love the chevron print working space. I currently have a spare room that full of rubbish and I’d love to really clear it out and turn it into my blogging office 🙂 keep us updated on how you get on with finding your own space! #GoldenOldies
