#HappyDays 06

I linked up with Tiny foot steps and what katy said hosts of #happydays.

Out and About

Saturday was my god-daughters christening, what a great night we had! The following day was far from great and I vowed to never go out again.

Wednesday we done our shopping and picked up a few Christmas presents and that was the entirety of our outings. The weather has taken a drastic turn meaning fires lighting and listening to the rain hit the wind, all from the comfort of the sofa.

Fun at home

We decided to throw a bit of baby led weaning into our routine which has been very funny!

‘I love pizza crust!!’

Overall, Aidan’s been going through leap 5- Relationships (I’m assuming everyone knows this is from the Wonder Weeks), which has felt like having a newborn again, lots of crying when you’re out of sight, needing his teddy bear all day and last night it meant waking at 3am and again at 6! Needless to say, I am a very tired Momma this morning.

Time for me

I’ve been lucky to get a lie in most mornings this week (except this morning, of course!) which has been lovely. Aidan’s also been taking a few daytime naps which have also been nice to use to chill. I always plan 101 things to do with nap time but lately I just end up on the sofa drinking tea, oops!

I also got so much cleaning done while Aidan’s been in his Jumperoo, which he now loves! He jumps and shouts like crazy and then needs a nap. It’s great, like having a nanny!

Blog Stuff

You may have seen my tweet the other day but I got 1,000 page views in a week! Honestly, it couldn’t have came at a better week, one filled with blogging doubts. Thanks all of you who visit my little corner of the internet, it’s great to have you here.

I also set up a facebook page after lots of mixed feelings about it, read about it here.

Happiest Moment

Getting the 1,000 views made me so happy. I still find it so bizarre to think people read my blog.

I was really happy to get a nice family photo of the three of us too. I am very particular about me in pictures, and photographing a baby can be a challenge too but somehow everything just seemed to come together, except the lighting but I guess I can’t have everything.

Next Week

I have no plans for next week, yet. I feel like this week has been pretty boring so I’m hoping I get around to some more productive things next week.

Until next time,

  1. Lovely picture of the 3 of you! I so miss be able to stick Pops in her jumperoo, such wonderful inventions! lol.

Congrats on the page views, well deserved, I have only recently discovered your blog but really love all your posts x

  2. Ahhhh jumperoo’s are the best invention ever aren’t they? Weaning is such a lovely stage, still one of my favourites. The photo of the 3 of you is absolutely lovely.

    Well done for 1K hits – that’s fantastic. x

  3. wow well done on the page views that’s amazing!! Thats such a lovely photo of your little family, you look stunning! Oliver used to love his jumperoo, shame they don’t do a toddler version 😉 xx

    1. Aww thanks 🙂 it only took me about 5 hours to get ready haha! I am dreading the day he’s too big for it but hopefully he will be at least crawling by then and wear himself out that way *fingers crossed* xx

  4. Ergh, the Wonder Weeks. I loved that book because it showed me it wasn’t that I’d done something different or I’d broken my baby or something – it was just a leap! Knowing it was something all babies did – and that it would pass – helped make it a bit more bearable!
Thanks for linking up with #WeekendBlogHop!

  5. That’s a really lovely picture of the three of you!

I loved our Jumperoo and was really sad when my daughter outgrew it. I agree with Becky, I wish they made a toddler version!

  6. Congrats on the 1000 page views, it’s great that so many people are enjoying your blog. I’ve only recently discovered you through the HappyDays linky and I love your posts too!
Your family photo is lovely, definitely one for a picture frame =)
Enjoy your week, I hope the baby led weaning goes well xx

  7. Gorgeous picture of the three of you! Enjoy the baby led weaning, it’s messy but a whole lot of fun 🙂

Congrats on the 1,000 views, that’s a great achievement. Jess x

  8. Lovely photos – glad you had a nice time at your god-daughter’s christening even though the next day wasn’t fun. Hope the wonder week passes quickly and you get some more sleep. Love the photos in the Jumperoo – they are so much fun for little ones! And well done too on getting 1000 page views on your blog 🙂

    1. Thank you – no the next day was not fun haha. Last night wasn’t too bad so I think there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I would like an adult size Jumperoo to try!! x

  9. Those leaps are so tough aren’t they? Power through, mama. They don’t last forever. 🙂 xx

Such a lovely family photo – I don’t think we have any photos of the three of us. How bad is that?

Your post isn’t boring. We can’t all have amazing weeks every week. That’s life. I hope you get to do more this week. 🙂

Well done on the blog views – it’s such a nice but crazy thought that people read what you write. You’re obviously doing something right though!

    1. I think we’re almost at the end, no awakenings last night wooo!
I had planned for weeks to get one that night, I think that’s the only reason it happened. Too easy to get distracted with little people around.
      Thanks 🙂 xxx

  10. Oh I love that app! It is so useful knowing the reasoning behind different stages! Not that there is anything you can do but wait it out but it is a comfort knowing that you are not alone!
Well done on the page views! That is fab!
You made me laugh about the never going out again- I say it every time and have done for about 10 years. Although I think the last time really was the last time!
Thank you for joining in #HappyDaysLinky xx
